Majestic, strong, yet grown, from a wee, tiny seed, The main supplier of what all we humans need. But besides our oxygen, The Tree does provide An air filtering system by using carbon dioxide. The Tree takes away the toxins for our care And then gives us back cleaner, fresher air. Also in this process, our blanket of protection, The Tree keeps in place for harmful ray rejection. The Tree is a fortress, especially in number And too, provides shade, cool in to slumber. Many species rely on our humbly vital tree For food, a home, safety against forces that may be. But mankind is arrogant, with self as its bride; Human satisfaction's sought, gained by ego fed pride. So, how grateful are we humans for The Tree? We humans chop it down without thought, carelessly. Every tree we cut, bring to the ground, We're reducing oxygen needed all around. But worse, instead of only taking just what we need, We humans are insatiable, driven by our greed. Not only do we take, but we fail to replace All we steal from life across our earth's face. The Tree, once reigning king of the forest and the land, Is treasured by species many, but not by human hand. The Tree's vital role in jeopardy of being lost, If humans don't awaken, our death will be the cost. Our sustaining breath of life, maintainer of our shield, We humans of no respect, against with axes, wield. When mankind sees dollar signs, it's common sense, "So long!" Justifying the lust for money, knowing full well it is wrong. The majestic tree, once supreme, so stately and so tall, With human slaying massively, we purposely befall, The Tree's survival but our own extinction's guaranteed, All for ignorance and stupidity, and for human's evil greed.
