And o’er the lake the summer breeze is blowing as lovers in their dinghies slowly rowing. I’m wishing you were here… On monkey bars the joyful children play; climb up to the top; jump down with a plop. Across the lawn a Frisbee sails away; a dog is in chase, and catches with grace. While in the oak trees frisky squirrels playing; along the path stroll lovers gently swaying. I’m wishing you were here… You see the happy fam’lies sharing time; a picnic by lake with hot dogs and cake. The clowns and vendors, and even a mime are all having fun in warm summer sun. A park so full of life and people caring; a lovely afternoon and time for sharing, and everywhere you see the lovers pairing. I’m wishing you were here… but feel your presence near.
