Bring Back the Pain
Please bring back the pain Because at least I know I can still feel The last verse I wrote Drained me of all emotion Of all devotion Now I'm an android Mechanically writing a verse It's truly a curse And I don't care at all I was too proud for the fall Now I watch it all burn Bring back the pain It's all I've got to go on Watching the setting sun Push my buttons Sell all of my things Push me aside I don't feel any of it Because a robot can't feel Only relay facts Each word is an echo Eclipsed by stronger emotions When I wasn't devoid And I never gave a damn I was too proud for the fall Now I watch it all burn Bring back the pain It's all I've got to go on Watching the rising sun Bring back the pain Won't you please bring back the pain So I can feel again
