Genevieve, My Lost Friend
I had seen this girl around my workplace, one day she handled a problem with grace. We were nurses and things could get nasty, and this was no place to get all sassy! I complimented her and then we talked, and on our breaks in the park we walked. The flame of friendship ignited in us, our spirits entwined like twin blazes, yes! We became a beautiful matching pair, with a special friendship so very rare. Then the unthinkable- she had to leave, gone my counterpart and chum, Genevieve! Oh, I was filled with sadness and deep loss, and I wept and wept for my sweet friend lost. Who would listen to my poems eyes closed, and I had made her a lover of vintage old! When she left I was in a dark chasm, it will took a long time to find my awesome. I never heard from her ever, ever again. How could she not look back? How do I mend? _________________________ May 2, 2018 Poetry/Couplet/Genevieve, My Lost Friend Copyright Protected, ID 18-1018-953-18 All Rights Reserved. Written Under Pseudonym.
