Good day  If someone had told me this time 2025 I would be writing poetry i would have been quite amused.  Life is full of surprises. I shall transcribe what is written on the back cover of The Barefoot Bard which I self published in October 2025.

Twenty years ago, Douglas wrote "The Well Dressed Man", a single solitary poem that quietly slipped from memory. Forgotten for decades, it resurfaced unexpectedly while he was sifting through old photographs, just days before his seventy seventh birthday. By a twist of fate , it's discovery came three days before he was due to attend a friends Poets breakfast.Invited to read it aloud Douglas was met with warm applause and encouragement

The very next morning, inspiration struck like an avalanche-verse after verse pouring into his mind. Over the following two months , he captured more than fifty poems. distilling almost eight decades of a transfotmational life.

My poetry could be described as a mini biography as much is based on  personal experience, My theme is varied. I include humoir. I focus on wellness, nature, spirituality, love. and a bit of satire

Book should soon be available on Lulu publishing
