Hi everyone!

My name is Lauren, and I’m new to the forum. I’ve been writing poetry since middle school. It’s always been my favorite way to express my feelings and make sense of the world around me.

I’m in my mid-twenties, married to the love of my life, and we share our home with a sweet black kitty named Piper. I love the simple things in life like a good cup of coffee, a quiet walk in the park, and the moments that make ordinary days feel special.

Lately, my writing has centered around grief. I lost my grandparents, who practically raised me, and poetry has been a big part of my healing journey. Most of my recent poems explore that process, and I’m hoping to publish a collection about it next year.

I’m really looking forward to connecting with others who love poetry and sharing our work together.
