Flawed perfection

Once it was perfect ,

Now is flawed,

The cracks in glass,

Shining through the window,

Imperfections that moulded it.

The glass weakens,

Desperate to be seen,

Hidden in the dark,

Every moment destroying it more,

The structure holding it together.

Shards of glass,

Scattered on the ice,

Becoming something extraordinary,

After the wreckening.

The sun is bright,

Happiness is seeping through,

What once was broken is now a picture,

A new improved me ,

Never losing the old me .

Improving on imperfections,

Applying a resin layer,

Covering the cracks,

The glass is strengthening,

The damage is existential.

Firming the glass,

Covering the cracks with stability,

Creating a new life,

Where dreams are reality.

Never forgetting the shattering glass,

Holding onto the one shard of glass,

Moulding a new identity around it ,

Hidden cracks in perfection.
