Poem

For years,
My emotions were bottled up inside
And I had shown my true colors multiple times
For those who wanted to see who I am truly am on the inside,
But the demon that's sleeping,
Part fear, part anger, part depression, and part pain,
A monster waiting to explode into the light that I had shown
And turn it into darkness.

The demon inside will destroy relationships that I created;
Destroy bridges that will take years to repair;
Create an castle above the light
And only let me in as the special guest every night
Just to feed onto the suffering that I carry.
I'd never wanted any part of it,
But he was created during a time where I couldn't see
The other end of this long-ending tunnel.

I may have the keys to unlock the dungeon gates
That the demon rests,
But its what made him controls these evil emotions
That's just waiting to get out in the world.
Until then,
The battle wounds that shows on the outside
Will be continuous and will cost sever suffering,
But I will survive it no matter what!
