Freeing Adam

Sometimes I feel, I should go without pants
When I am alone, or I’m just hanging out
I could close all the blinds or I could take a chance
You have given me freedom; a reprieve of self-doubt

When I am alone, or I’m just hanging out
In the confines of home, I am free

So empowering, that I can be me

Without an inch of cloth on my skin
So empowering, that I can be me
Back to nature, I’m shedding my sin

I adapt to the chill in the air

Where is Eve, when I need to share?

The Garden, is once again ours
Where is Eve, when I need to share?
We should be dancing, beneath the stars

Our love was pure, naked and true

But instead, I am missing you

A metaphoric poem, expressing my gratitude to those whom have accepted me as “ WHO I AM’ without judgment of the thoughts or ideas that I ‘wear’.

So much of what we ‘wear’ is to cover up our own insecurities or to fit in, when maybe, we just don’t belong.

It starts with each of us, individually.  What you put on in the morning (metaphorically) should not change or cover up who you truly are!
