Poem

I miss you babe, it's not been long but I'm afraid to clean,
Your smells and your clothes are still around, erasing them would be mean.
I'll clean round some things and be very careful especially when I sweep,
Because now and then, I'll look down, and finding your hair makes me weep.

It's ok though I want to cry, as if I am scared I may forget,
Something about how I want you near, how I long to make you sweat. 
And look even though my muse has gone I've written 8 poems today,
I think the last time I tried to write, when I was a kid, I threw it all away.

You see it still lives, it fuels my pen, it is a powerful living thing,
It's almost as if, we made it back then, and together it needs us to cling.
So somethings still there, pulling our hearts we just need to align the poles,
I cant help but care that being apart is keeping us from being 2 wholes.

I miss you babe, it's been even longer and I am still afraid to clean,
Your clothes put away, your smells fade now, they are leaving me too its so mean.
I'll clean up my act, and listen and hear, especially around my sweet,
Because now and then, I still look down, and finding your hair still makes me weep.
