Poem
Dragon took his penguins aloft to view the eclipse on that fine day. They were careful to use the special viewing glasses as their mainstay. The penguins were so excited and Dragon was always eager to please. But he had to do it right, no matter whatever the outcome, all did agree. Being a Super Hero he must faithfully follow the safety glasses rule drawn. Unfortunately, the glasses were made for people and not for Dragon spawn. They didn’t fit, he couldn’t see, and caused no end of problems to drag on. Not to mention that, the skies were crowded, as every plane, aloft had gone. Here we go, as blind as a bat Dragon, bumped a plane, right out of the sky! The penguins hung on, as Dragon dove to save it, as every super hero must try! Just before the plane hit Earth, he grabbed it, tossing it skyward, straight up high. But he unwittingly had pushed a very small car, onto the railroad tracks. Oh My! Being solar powered and during an eclipse… it couldn’t move, No, not one bit! So the penguins pointed Dragon back, straight down, making a big direct HIT. The train came to a careening stop, tossing its passengers, like a salad in a bowl! That little car, so aerodynamically sound, flew like a football, during a field goal. Actually more like a punt going from the 50-yard line straight toward its goal! Yep, it soared like a bird, straight toward the ocean with its force, out of control! It landed directly on a small fishing boat, filled to the brim with eclipse sightseers! Dragon became their life raft, as the boat sank and all were safely brought to shore. All on the surface that is… Unfortunately, the boat had gone down like a torpedo. It hit a small submarine below… sinking it with all men aboard. Fortunately tho… It was only a SMALL submarine, and yes, again, Dragon was able to, save the day! The penguins took Dragon high aloft, and yes, dove him straight down, all the way. The penguins, and a whale, together with Dragon, brought it to the surface again. Then all the hands were safely taken off board, and were very happy, my friend. Dragon brought them back safely to shore, by way of Dragon’s back, once more. Who could ask for more? Indeed, he was proud of saving sooo many lives, for sure! And indeed, he told the Paparazzi that: Without him, they’d all have been lost! With that, he took his penguins back up into to sky to watch the eclipse, aloft. That day all pictures had Dragon flying in front of the moon. What an afternoon! Yes, all had, had a glimpse immortalized, of the VERY rare Eclipse Dragon Moon. Or so I do say in this note worthy tune! … The End! Written 8-21-2017
