It's Time We Had A Party By Franklin Price 8/4/2017 It's time we had a party, threw the tea into the bay. I'm only speaking figuratively, this is what I have to say. The Sons of Liberty arose when England did us bad Now Congress, through inaction, brings us back to times they had. England ruled us way back then and ruled without regard. Were not allowed to rule ourselves, being under thumb was hard. Now Congress sits upon its thumbs and seldom can agree, It's time that we the people threw the Congress in the sea. If, like me, you're troubled, by no hands across the aisle With Congress doing nothing, to make we the people smile There's no cooperation between the Right and Left, Their salaries are seldom earned, it's more than petty theft. We finally have a president who wants to make us fine. He wants to make us great again, make congress toe the line. They'll be damned if that will happen, they only want to get him out Their unearned pay's in jeopardy, of this they have no doubt. They blame the Russians on him they're the reason that he won They know he's not a politician and may get a little done He wants to save this country from the swamp in Washington He's not the one that Congress wants; he's not their chosen son. Mid term elections coming, all House seats are up for bid, Contact your representative, remind him of what he did. If he has done nothing to help us to a better place Work hard to see he's voted out, no more to see his face The same goes for the Senators whose terms are at an end Who are blocking any progress for you and me, my friend Get off their selfish wagons if they have no thought for you Make them go fend for themselves and find something else to do. Find ones who for this country care, not one's who power seek Make your voice heard loud and clear. Do not be mild and meek. We the people must be interested and boot do-nothings out. In the end we are the government, that's what the U.S.A.'s about.
