Poem
The old machine is breaking down... we need a new one, one that doesn't burp, grind and scream --- and kill; One that doesn't worship money... exploit --- with cold, long hands and call it: victory --- When money is more important than people: what do you think will happen? They will come for you... and take everything, your children will be like them and they will rape the earth, they will become killers for money We need to change, fast --- like the world grows more evil, but faster, much faster: but we need a model, called truth 'O but our hearts won't let us see the truth so easily, will it? --- perhaps it is not our hearts that speak loudest, but our egos? (it never was loudest) these 'hearts' of ours; our hearts should tell us to change our mind, so we can see the truth and then, and only then, Love One never knows love, til truth shines through; for love will fade for lack of it We did not see the truth, when they butchered Christ, or in his name torture, burn --- and subjugate with Crusade and create hell; it's hard to see heaven when staring in the fires of hades... So we built churches, so many they are all separate, bickering and fighting and warring, amongst One another --- they are all the same... (yet believe their church is God's) packed them all together in various work-places, and expect success? these hearts of ours (fodder for the devil) All our societies are founded on sacred books, but its not working --- one only need to pick up the morning paper... we have misunderstood, we have believed that God needs something, demands something --- indeed, punishes His own creations; we have given glory to divisions, in 'the pursuit of excellence' which creates few 'winners' and many 'losers' indeed, there are more divisions in society, than people And we call this 'progress'? To what end? Destruction? A better smart-phone --- is more important: than the fact that up to ten thousand children die a day of starvation? that up to forty wars happen a year? --- that our children and their children may live a life in world war? These hearts of ours... must change, as a great man once put it: (before kingdoms can change) **** I wrote and posted this piece because I have been given a lot and this is just one of the ways of returning the favor. It might be controversial to some --- but I can assure you what we're up against isn't a ping-pong match. Invariably we must answer whether we want to survive as a species. Will we?****
