Poem
The wind of time wobbled me, My heart quivered in fear. My tree has lost its roots, My flowers of hope withered, And got rustled by wind. My passion was becoming faint, And my mind in total turmoil. I looked towards the horizon, Hoped things will be in form. The sun set, Showing me there is still hope, Because I had my breath, And I would borrow another day. Life made me lackadaisical, And my life is now comical. I may keep falling through life, But my emblem is to strive to survive. Life gave me a pen to write, And gave me sour bread to bite. I want to be a light, To lead people aright. My way is a track to a treasure land, But decorated with thorns, Floored boisterously, But held my feet to the ground. I lost my sense of humor, Being jolted by every pebbles. I had to crawl, Even though my kneels ached. I can't give up now, Because it cost me so much to get here. I may not have everything, But I’m content with the life I lived and live. Everything smiles at me, Because they never saw it coming. To them I’m a rookie, But in my own world I’m an adept. I ceased to bargain my freedom from fear, I held the bull by the horns, I fought my way out. I was beaten down so many times. I was a rolling stone, I gathered no moss. Such is life, It is a one chance opportunity, It is either I leave it or face it. It took me time to lace my shoes, But now I could go steadily without fear, Making prints on the sand of time. Failure is never the end, It is just a detour to take a better route, Because there are always crossroads. I look pathetic but energetic, Pale but ready to sail. Day by day I grow, I never forget to move closer to my goals. A reminder to show how far I’ve been towed. I didn’t mean to let up the rein, It was just a journey I couldn’t make any bargain. I was slave to my own false thoughts, But tried to leave some dots. To connect when I triumph. It is the story of my life, The chronicle of how I survived. I chose to keep the scabbard, Hoping someday I would have the sword, I’m concerned about the safety of the holster, Because I shall continue to fight, To have the gun in my control. I do wet my withered rose, It is not an option. But the destiny that I chose. Because my fallen rose will rise again. I live my life like a tree, Whenever I fall, I don’t give up, Because I believe my seed shall grow again. I’m not climbing up so the world can see me, I climb so that I can see the world.
