MY WEDDING DAY I called her honey, baby, My best friend, my bride, You are so beautiful. She looked at me with smile face, Smiling loudly. I said, “Oh, God bless me with a wise And humble woman! Today, I am saying, thank God!” I saw her coming to meet me, She was coming to kiss and hug me publicly. People who saw her running, They taught that she was drunk. Yes, she drank much love and went crazy of it. She was drunk, She was drunk with love! Loved her first and last man. Her mom screamed, “Come back, Come back, come back Rosa, Come back so I can dress you well.” She could not hear, She was thinking of her husband to be! The father of her new prince and princess, Who would make her African queen. The mother of the nations. She was in white dress, So white like snow, Coming for the white wedding. She rushed like a white jaguar, Which had seen the white doves from the sky? My workers saw her coming from the high mountain, And cleaned the special white sofa. I ran fast and met her half way. They blew the trumpet, The King and Queen of Africa arrived. All the people bowed down in honor of them. People from cities and country came to see their queen. She was so beautiful like other African women. Her big eyes shined like a white diamond, Wearing a diamond crown, While sitting on the white sofa. It was the wedding day, The day of our gladness and joy. She always dreamt of me, The only man she loved. Sometimes she looked for me in her white bedroom, Screaming around night, “Where are you, my sweetheart? When will you marry me?” Her dad and mom realized That she was fool with love, And no one could heal her beside her lover. The handsome man she had seen once and loved deeply. Then she said, I know the word "love" very well than you: Love is patient, and it is not proud. Love is kind and it does not envy. Love does not boast, and it is not rude. Love does not rude, and it is not easy angered. Love keeps no record and it is not self-seeking. Love does not delight evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, Love always trusts, Love always hopes, Love always perseveres, Love never fails.” She hugged and kissed me strongly, People, wow, you fulfill your mission. The wise man said, "The princess in her gown Made with threads of pure gold Is like a pearl in a gold setting The bride in her beautiful clothes, Is led to the king. Her bridesmaids following behind her. They came filled with happiness. Filled with happiness, They enter the king's palace King, your son will rule after you You will make them rulers throughout The land. God will make your name famous forever People will praise you forever and ever!" When she laid down on a golden king size bad, Laid on my chest, My heart was so content. Envisioning a prince to come, It was impossible and possible, I saw him calling dad and mom, He was on the golden throne, Dressed in golden garment with golden shoes, Six stars were surrounding him. I was so comforted, God showed me the prince to come. The Queen heard that news and denied. It was like a daydream to her, She did not trust me. When the boy was born, The future King, The prophet of God Chris came to bless him, Before he could enter the palace. The Queen and I were in the golden garments. The Joyous choir sang a song, "Africa, Africa a beautiful land Africa a multi - colored land Africa a very rich soil Africa my real dwell Africa politicians, church leaders, Tradition leaders, hear the words From our hearts and bring peace in Africa. I can see violence and vengeance, Tribalism and racism, Afro-phobia and xenophobia In Africa, oh, oh! In Africa, he, he! In Africa, hue, hue! In Africa. I can see the terrorists and rapists, Abusers and destroyers, Discriminators and destroyers Colonists and evangelists, In Africa, oh, oh! In Africa, he, he! In Africa, hue, hue! In Africa. I can see the hands of God up Upon Africa, upon the Africans Bringing their salvation Bringing their solution Freeing them from the slavery Freeing them from the colony. " Beautiful women of Africa God loves you. (By Alfonso II Warally Chris)
