Poem
I always thought life was a cloud A pink one as such On it I would sit And, fly While enjoying my ride Pray, it would not even be necessary For me To open my wings And fly! Why should I do so After all, Clouds fly on their own Propelled by the gentle forces of the wind Clouds need me not To push or pull them To where I want to go! But then, my dream bubble snapped And I fell So hard, on the floor I fell, into a mess of confusion I fell, while realizing not That I had wings And that I could have used them to save myself! I fell and had both of my wings broken I fell and shattered into pieces I fell and faced with the mocking stares Of those who had hated Seeing me fly on a pink cloud! Pray, fallen I may have been There, as I lay into pieces on the floor But, that was when strength and the mystical notes Knocked on my soul's windows And bid me to let them in That was when, I realized about the futility of life That it mattered not And that it shall never matter If I flew on a pink cloud Or if I lay there, motionless on the floor For life is a mere mirage A lapse of time Allowing us to atone for our sins And hope, while we are at it, For a better existence, Someday, someday! Why, today, I am flying again Today, I am flying without wings After having sewed my other parts back together Today, I am flying! Yes, the notes of the mystical inhabit my heart My soul and my mind The notes of the mystical Push and drive me forth So much that now I care only to fly And bother not about stares Whether mocking or envious! I just fly, and fly With a content smile on my face Knowing that the mystical did choose me As a recipient of its mysterious power!
