"The Mind of a Christian Poet" Let us look into the mind of a Christian poet and tell me if you can, just who can know it? Who can search out the depths of his mind? His thoughts are continually seeking for words to find. Who can look deep into his soul and see the things which are hidden from you and me? His thoughts ascend as high as the third paradise and into the deepest of hell they can go. His mind can never be at rest because he's always searching for the spiritual riches which are in God’s Treasury Chest! His mind is always in meditation from Genesis to Revelation. He sails the oceans of God’s wisdom and launches far out into the deep, Into the darkest of night and shines a spiritual light to see. He's continually in deep meditation searching for spiritual truths and trying to understand their application and just what they mean. Sometimes his sayings are so deep and strong only the spiritual can see, then at times it's simply milk for babies to feed. Even at night when he's lying in bed a multitude of verses and thoughts are flowing through his head. Many times when he awakes from his sleep, the words that ran through his mind are like a dream that flees. Sometimes he may even seem strange to those around him, even to his own children and especially to the wife of his youth. Some say, he's so heavenly minded, he's of no earthly use. Yes, his mind is fixed on heaven in search for spiritual truth. Truly, truly, all of those around him he loves, but his heart, mind, and his soul is set on things above! When this life is over his pen can write no more. He can then rest from all of his labors. His soul and spirit will ascend to heaven’s shore and kneel before God who gave it! To give an account to the ONE who created it, Then saved him and then gave him his talents and caused him to crave it! My Dearly Beloved: I've written to you about the mind of a Christian Poet. I've tried my best to give you a look at the inside of his mind. Do not look on him with confusion and doubt, and please do not even try to figure him out. Always remember this one thing Yes, let this be noted The mind of a Christian Poet, only God can know it. Amen! Written by Evangelist and Christian Author Clyde C. Parker, Jr.
