Poem

"Capucine, Capucine, let down your hair,"
yelled the Prince so handsome and fair
climbing up the braids, no knowledge Capucine's hair was cut
an enchantress yelled down from the tower, “Keep your mouth shut.”

“Capucine has been sent to the desert, you sad, little flea.  
Now, go home to your king—Capucine, you will never see!”

The Prince fell off of the tower into the roses, piercing his eyes
badly stressed…screaming,screaming,  swatting at the flies
the Prince, sadly blind as could be, wandered hurt
finally, his search discovered  his lady's desert--

Capucine and the twins… (You see the two had been naughty.)
A boy and a girl…Capucine was teaching them to potty. 
 
“Oh no, you are blind, sir.  You look so forlorn.
First,  I think I should pull out those thorns."
sixteen in each eye, so the Prince did cry
opening his eyes,  it was then he fancied to die.

"Capucine, where's the hair? It should be growing.
I thought you were pretty, but without your blond, flowing…"

The Prince hurt Capucine by saying she was “ugly”
she told the Prince he was acting so smugly
a broken heart is what she had, “It’s not only looks that makes a person.
It’s the innermost self that’s important.” His look made everything worsen

This pair decided to part…each one with a child…a son for him 
the girl with Capucine, who said,  "I know this is just a princely whim."

Moral: Don’t cut your hair if you want to keep your Prince.
