I was fifteen
When we met
Never figured on the stage being set
Back then for where we are now
But we started dating right away
And I honestly have to say
You brought joys
And smiles to my days
Those fantasies that filled
My dreams in the night
So young and very nieve
We could have never understood then
What was right before our eyes
So we dared to believe
That what we had was just not meant to be
Now I wonder if what we had was the real thing
Would that be so hard
For you to conceive
There was a time
When you and I
Were so mad at each other
We didn't speak for years
When we finally spoke again
There was tension to no end
There was anger still there
And we couldn't pretend
Our love for each other
Whas blinded by such rage
I thought we had moved on past it all
That we each had turned the page
Yet still we didn't realize
There was more going on besides
Anger, rage, hurt feelings, and broken hearts
Love was there but it was in disguise
All the rage had us so hypnotized
We just couldn't see how we were tearing each other apart
We really did still have the others heart
Why didn't we see what was in front of us all along
Here we are now
Dancing to the same old song
I feel so deep in my heart and soul
With all my body and in every bone
Together is where we belong
So I ask you to look deep in your heart
Do you believe what I feel so strong
Is completely wrong
Why can't we take that chance
Give our lies back that romance
We've grown since back then 
Look at the lives we've lived
For everyone else we'd always give
Never really to ourselves
Life is to short
To give up just yet
Let's not let the music stop
Let's not let the dance end
Let us instead give our broken hearts
The chance they need to finally mend
You can try
So damn hard
To run away from your demons
But from them you can never hide
Trust me when I say I've tried
So here I am
Arms wide open
Heart on my sleeve
So will you open your arms to me
Or will you just 
Turn and leave
