Poem

He has made my ears safe against the words of the enemy
He plans to face my day of trouble with a permanent solution
He fought through unimaginable pain to find a man who hates Him

He comes to the places that I enter to forsake Him
He shows up armed because He knows that I'll be beaten without Him
He follows me around and my life is the longing of His heart

When I get get the wrong idea about Him, He makes it plain
When my faith is misplaced He shows me my error
He has never lied or disappointed me with a single word

He shows Himself when I am broken
He is tactful in the winning of my heart
His interest in my life causes a storm within my soul

He shows me only the miracles He knows that I can handle
He covers my eyes to the workings of deception
He makes me stronger with the strengths that I will need

He showed me that there can be no other judge
He proved to me the prudence of His actions
He never once stripped away my freedom to choose Him


He was the guiding light to find the safe house on the mountain
He opened my eyes wider as soon as I could see
He entered my personal hell to share His peace
And He did it for me
