Poem
The Devil lurks in the light in the ever shifting shadows of the world between here and there in-between the silhouettes of leafs on the concrete wear waiting to twist everything out of perspective: into his might where you don’t know which way to go anymore He comes to you like a fake gentleman with manners and a grin scheming to your desires and fears eating at your pain/suffering as a refined four-course meal He whispers evil thoughts into your ears down to your heart saying them over and over again a creature of habit and repetition preying upon you with what has worked in the past To make you give up and loose your focus He uses the souls out there like puppets without their strings cut manipulating them influencing them tempting them in emotion and thought yet you seem like the crazy one for eyes wide open He Puts up detour signs along your path into situations you cannot avoid coercing you to make decisions to derail you to try and make you hate yourself with the real choices and emotions that showcases your flaws that highlights your weaknesses trying to detrimentally change you To push you away from your love ones/friends To separate you from God and love ones and yourself have you double think every just choice you ever have made put into question your thinking process to exaggerate your flaws bring you to focus upon one tree in the forest To see as the world does He tries to take you from your good and chosen path To be for God and Jesus and The Holy Ghost, To be of Love The Devil will prey on you with the indefinite The Unknown never knowing when the battle will end wanting you to loose faith and hope to just quit and walk away from all that you have worked so hard for and sown when everything you ever wanted was just around the corner away from all of the illusions, delusions, and torment This is why we must always wear The Armor of God To stay on the straight and narrow and absolute course with The Word in hand and Jesus in step We stay the course til the end… Let the battle cries begin over and over again
