Oh God! thank you for giving me all that I have. But bring me something different! Good morning, good day, see you soon. Oh how nice to hear you, to meet you. Thanks for the nice evening, the day. Hi, hope we have a pleasant working day. Oh God! but what's different from now... Can't see! Bring me something different! What do I care if you have the worst day? What does it change if we never met? The evening was just a waste of time! Hi, I wish you had fallen dead rising from your bed this morning! Oh God forgive me for these bad thoughts. But please, bring me something different! I drew out the dull curtains, the freshly rain-washed tombs gaze at me. Are we in anyway different? Hmm...I contemplated them. No! I drew back the curtains. Same old things, in life and in death! Networks and mags, so on and so on... Change your day by doing something different. Decorate your house, make it vibrant, the ad says. Colours everywhere; bright, pastel...a new haven. A long leave, away from routine and job; TV, recipes, good foods, astrology, games. Shopping; nice cloth, friends and parties. Wow! this was something different! A week later... Really? It looks old already. Sitting on the settee, I stare at the ceiling. No, it was not much like different. I opened my laptop and shut it as quickly. Pulled the blanket over my ears and slept till evening. Oh God! forgive me for wasting this life of mine. But now let me do something different! I thought of the family on way back home. Shortly time for dinner. No fast food. Quick. A nice meal in short time. To the garden I recently set. A bunch of fresh herbs in hand, I came They smell so good.I smile. Hmm..the food so good, the table set. Cutlery laboured and dishes defiled. Wow! You've brought a big change to everything, the house, the foods, our lives and yourself! I smile uncertainly...was it so? I muse. I felt happy as it was something different. I was praised and appreciated by my family. And, I needed to be said that! Oh God, thank you for making me bring it out! Date submitted: 23/06/16 Contest: Something seemingly Insignificant and unexpected changed my life.
