Poem

The life of a beggar man 
isn't nice, getting grub from garbage, 
sleeping rough and freezing is bloody inhuman. 
They spit and curse at me like I'm a savage. 

I'm a man who fell on hard times 
when I lost my job at the factory. 
Wife-kids left me and I did crimes 
to get drugs and booze so there'd be no sad memory. 

Jailed many times, a ruined life. 
Now I have God by my side and just beg for money 
so I can get enough to rid me of strife, 
become a priest and help the poor and needy. 

As a pastor, my first job is to clean His Church, 
Empty it of these hypocritical rats who rant false faith. 
Fill His House with people who have heart-soul to search, 
who'll find God and embrace His Spirit as they walk His Path.
