You’re too far away from me
Already, I watch my life pass away
Endangered species fall before my eyes and I’m weeping seas and forests of plenty
I read the bible, I study His word…but not today…
Why not today? Why? 
Oh no…
I feel so shady and shy
I dunno…

I’m feeling it…
Crawling up and down my spine
His Holy Spirit
Becoming oh so serpentine
Against my flesh
Strung by sudden totems in my head that feels like lead within my numb cranium

I’m a phoenix out of the sweltering flames
I’m an owl, flying off into the universe of pro’s and con’s

I am who I am…
I am peanut butter and jam
I am who I am…
Not some cheap technology cam…
Or whatever you call em
The point is…
Te amo, amiga…
But, I love me as well as you

Wait, I’m feeling the crease of a smile, rollin’ in my face…
My swollen face that is a swirl of whites and reds…
Can’t keep pace this time in this race of vast grace…
I took you lightly and I took you darkly, darling…we aren’t sharing beds…
I had it with this feeling of belong…
Is it even right or wrong…
Or am I bewildered from the beginning to end…
I’m a bible – Genesis to Revelation…
That was never read – the utter frustration

I’m the light of the Earth
Yet, I lack His wholehearted mirth…
I had enough of this…
I’m feeling myself,
Losing progress…
I’m feeling yourself,
Fall into place…
Without my trace
