Poem
In the city of the dead, underneath the whispering sands, Lies a curse written in blood's script. Beware defilers, for death's vengeance, guards This sacred tomb. Beneath wrappings decayed flesh and twisted Mangled bones, A forsaken spirit, has been entombed alive. The god of the dead, Osiris, has brought his wrathful Judgment, upon this unforgiven wickedest of souls. Brake not the seal upon the entrance door, Caution’s salvation, could save your eternal spirit, From a premature burial. In beauty's charm this goddess, called once Pharaoh, Did bless the living with her loveliness. Yet even Osiris, himself fell beneath divinities spell, And brought thus goddess unto him. The Egyptian people cried a rivers tears, And sorrows angel wept with no mercy, To lose this queen of Egypt. But such did a mortal priest, in arrogance Dare to love she, whom was beyond his reach And station. That he read from a forbidden scroll, Attempting to bring his beloved back, To life once more. The night sky, turned blackened red with Angers fury. A voice echoed into the desert foul beast, Harken unto the god of death. Doomed are thee beyond the crypt. Dammed is your soul forever. To guard that which you treasure the Most, but never to be allowed to touch, For she is mine and mine alone. Beware thus disturbing this tomb, For the living dead guard, she whom is Most beautiful. Do not release the living mummy, For she shall find thee and destroy, The defilers responsible. Behold the curse of the mummy, A death worse than life itself. BY: CHERYL ANNA DUNN
