Poem
Imagine a land, where worries are no more, a perfect, beautiful world to explore. Of evil and wickedness, there is not a trace. How could you not want to go to such a place? I have often longed to go, in my dreams, but truly, it is not as hard as it seems! Forget everything around you; shut your eyes tight. Then simply let your imagination take flight. Lush fields, full of daisies surround you, Of where you are, you have not a clue. A peace lies on it, unlike anything you've ever felt before, you could stay here forever, and you'd never bore. Gazing at the scenery, you then spot a glimmering shore, decked with shells and what not. This looks very inviting, you think at a glance. Never would you want to miss such a chance! You hurry to this beach, almost magical and unreal, and soon you are brimming with zeal. Children play in the water, beach balls they toss. Everyone is kind and thoughtful, and no one gets cross. Perfection outlines itself in this place, so vivid and true! In a land such as this, how could anyone be blue? You spend the day, going from scene to scene. From castles to chocolate emporiums, and everything in between! Visiting all these attractions, though peaceful and perfect they are, Is getting a bit overwhelming; you've come quite far! But you don't want to leave, this is something you can't miss! It's not every day you get to experience a world such as this. When you exit the library, you are exhausted in every way. You want to rest, but you can't stay! Before you lies many roads, more than you can put numbers to, each leading in a different attraction, made to interest you. I scanned the area, not knowing which one to choose, then I thought what I might lose. Suddenly, one clear image came to my brain. There is no doubt about it, I knew which lane was the right one for me, where I wouldn't have the urge to roam. That one clear image was the road to go home. With people I loved, and things I knew. I realized, this trip has taught me a lesson or two. Where I am in this world, is right where I need to be. I don't need beaches or castles to be filled with glee! Right where I am, I'm fulfilling my destiny. I shouldn't let anything take that from me!
