Poem
I crossed the stream and as I did I felt the living water refresh my soul. And while I was still in the process of walking across the stream, I could feel the water get very warm, as it washed my feet before I stepped over to holy ground. Then I was finally standing before Him. My total height barely reached His nose. I could not even look into His face because of His brilliance. "Am I killing you now?" He asked me very softly, very sweetly. "No. I love you," I said as a single tear dropped from my eye. "I know that you do." "I know that you won't bite me." "And yet you hesitate," He said. "Yes, because I love you so much, I would never want to let you go," I told Him, shaking as I did so. "Is that so bad?" He asked me in an ever softer voice than He had yet used. More tears were starting to make their way down my cheeks. "I love you so much little one, that I could never let you go. Now do what you fear the most," He commanded. I did. I hesitantly touched His mane. It was so soft, yet slightly coarse. His scent was like a bouquet of roses. He kissed me gently on my face, gently kissed the tears running faster down my cheeks. I threw my arms around Him as far as I could, and cried until I could cry no more. Then a little while later, a feeling of utter peace came upon me. "Did I kill you my beloved child?" He asked me, as He passed on to me the warmest feeling of love that I had ever experienced. "No. I love you," I said to Him again, because there was nothing else that I could find to say. "Then that's all that matter love," He said. A little while later my dream vision was gone, but I was not sad. I knew that we would meet again one day, and then I would stay there forever with the One I love best. To this day the Great Lion of Judah inspires me as I write poems, lyrics, poetic forms of stories and essays. There is no greater love in my lifetime than the love I have for Him. I hope that my personal relationship with Him encourages all who read my given works to more fully encompass Him in their lives you will be glad you did!
