Poem
I wander a mile along the darkened track trying to escape the tired night from breaking my back a day that has already absorb a lot of anxiety was ready to face the giant and filter this endless misery. Of all the mortification and humiliation that went for weeks, months and years the time for redemption was drawing near. They scoured the pots, purified the tracks and she finally made a thunderous comeback. Everything I saw in my dream the night before has unfolded in front of me. I walked down the sophisticated stairs and a pregnant woman Sitting in front of a haughty plate of cooked rice greeted me with a smile. Upstairs a snoring cantankerous clown shoving alcohol down his bitter throat Attempted to spoil the evening with his intoxicated melodrama But beauty gave way forcing him to hold down his head and shamefully walked away. I smiled at her and walked through the door and searched for a quite place to spend some time with the divine and so I wander along an unlit path, Its amazing what you can see when you are out in the dark. I feel that innate connection with something that was more powerful than man, I asked for it and I really got it. I escaped off the pitch black track into the dark bushes And tossed my back to the ground and searched the heavens above me. I lie down for almost an hour in the dry bushes With the clear blue skies and its brightly lit stars Peacefully watching over me, I felt a peace that I haven’t felt for ages No one watching me, no one following me it was just the higher power and me. We interlock in a peaceful moment, no words, No expression, just tears of joy streaming down my face stars communicating with stars, angels interacting with angels and there I was in the midst of it all. Oh what eternal bliss, I was empowered by a supernatural power I felt energized and enthralled But I was suddenly hastened back to reality by the sound of a helicopter rumbling from afar. I hurried back on the path and there she was Big and round pregnant with lights gleaming all around She was sitting in east and guiding my footstep as I walked in the street. A sudden burst of joy filled up my soul The full moon and I started to scamper around. I just couldn't take my eyes off her Her transcendent light disseminated Throughout states, counties and town She lights up the neighborhood and the entire city. And so I kept following her all-around until she takes me back on the high steps that leads to my house. ©2015 Christine Phillips
