On this side of darkness there are all good things
There is dancing, rejoicing - we laugh and we sing
On this side of darkness you have lots of friends
No sadness, depression or heartbreaking ends

On this side of darkness you enjoy great sights
The beauty of Heaven always shining so bright
Sweet sounds of canaries and birds fill the air
There is nothing to harm you, there is no despair

On this side of darkness we have lots of fun
The children are happy; we play in the Son
On this side of darkness there is no more pain
You share in the blessing of soft, healing rain

On this side of darkness your needs have been met
There is plenty for all and no need to fret
On this side of darkness there is peace all around
We know how to share; and love does abound

No stealing, no killing, no tearing apart
No sickness, no terror, only joy fills your heart
No crying, no sorrow, even death has fled
On this side of darkness - no tears left to shed

This is not meant for all.  Only those who believe
Through repentance with Faith, this Kingdom we receive
What a blessing to walk in love with our King
In His beautiful Garden; it makes my heart sing

There is no sacrifice that I will not give
For the privilege to know that
Through Eternity we will live
