There is nothing greater than Hari Bhajan We all bow before Hari and say - Hari Om Tashyat. When the cup of venom was offered to Meera* How it had changed to ambrosia Maybe for she chanted all the time, Hari Hari Hari Hari. How the great lord Rama* visited poor Shabri* And why he ate the already tasted berry Maybe for she had great faith in Hari Hari Hari Hari Hari. When Lanka was in fire and everything around turned to ashes How the cottage of Vibhishana* remained untouched and unharmed May be the name of Hari was written on the entrance Hari Hari Hari Hari. When the wicked and vicious made a burning log of iron How was the little Prahalad* saved Maybe he called up Hari by his name Hari Hari Hari Hari. Hari Om is so powerful that Vishnu himself ran to help the elephant Maybe he closed his eyes with a lotus in his hand Hari Hari Hari Hari. If you are in trouble and see no way out , my dear If you are trapped by hangmen or have some fear Just close your eyes and think of Hari Hari Hari Hari Hari. *Meera (Mira Bai a Rajput princess, born in about 1498 ) was a Hindu mystic poet and devotee of Krishna* whodescribes unconditional love for her Lord. *Shabari is an elderly woman ascetic in the later versions of the Hindu epic Ramayana. She received Rama's darshan and blessing due to her devotion to him. *Vibhishana was a king who ruled what is part of Sri Lanka today and is also written about in the historical epic Ramayana. He was the younger half brother of the *Rakshasa (demon) king Ravana of Lanka. Though a Rakshasa himself, Vibhishana was of a noble character and advised Ravana, who kidnapped and abducted Sita, to return her to her husband Rama in an orderly fashion and promptly. When his brother did not listen to his advice, Vibhishana joined Rama's army. Later, when Rama defeated Ravana, Rama crowned Vibhishana as the king of Lanka. *Prahlada a saintly boy from the Puranas known for his piety and bhakti to Vishnu, despite the attempts of his father, Hiranyakashipu, to turn change him.As per the story prahalad was asked by his father to embrace a red hot pillor of iron . At first Prahlad hesitated But then he noticed an ant that was crawling up the pillar unharmed. Prahlad embraced the pillar, and at that very moment it split open, and the Lord appeared from inside it in a form that was half lion and half man. *Vishnu is a popular Hindu deity. This Supreme God is also known as Lord Hari. *Rama and Krishna are Vishnu himself. Dt: 18/10/2014
