Poem
The sky will cry, the evening die Yet we will never wonder why So much of us is more than pain For in our hearts our silver rain Is carried over every shore Until at last there’s so much more Of all the things that mean so much Like evening’s whisper misted touch. Soon gold will fall, and seas will call The seasons turn round after all From green soft birth to warmth and light To leaves that fall then chill fast white Though rainbows glow on sunlit snow There’s much that we still need to know About the silver rain we share Within our hearts of truth and care. Our mornings rise in many ways Like sunlit skies and emerald days Or daydreams in a soft sea fret And every soul that we have met, Some souls rise high to kiss the sky To seek out all those reasons why Some of us say a morning prayer Yet to others it’s already there. Some of us look out on a sea Of whispering serenity And some of us who see just storms For they can come in many forms Though some of us are wrapped in peace A kind of heavenly release Where stars are mirrored in our eyes And heaven never really dies…
