Poem

haven't you ever fallen for someone
that you'd rip your own heart out for them,
or take another's life for them?
Haven't you ever loved someone
that meant the world over to you
and one day it was all gone,
that spark, that flame
that feeling...
All of it gone
and now all is wrong
shivers in the night
no one to call on
Everything you know has gone mad
and all day you feel sad.
Leaving one place
and arriving at another
and you see her or him
sitting at a café table with her or him,
your heart caves in
and hot blood boils in your veins
as cool chills run down your spine.
I had a heart attack a thousand times over,
falling to the ground clenching my chest crying out "it's over!"
All alone...
I am depressed,
nothing but sitting in a white room
reading dead poets that don't interest me anymore,
friends are goners in this world
I can't find one to listen to me,
and family the ones who are suppose to be there
are with their own families, wives and children
all running a muck
and I'm not invited to any of the parties.
I vomited yesterday
and all I saw was black,
yet such a clean soul
has nothing to freight
still I've seen dark days
and clear nights
but nothing comes out like the sun at night.
