Poem

You told me once that you loved me
and that you would always be true
Just like a fool I believed you,
I changed my life to suit you.
Then just before Christmas you left me,
left me right here on my own
I'm moving on now you're nothing to me
I'm going to make it alone.

You're out of my life now forever
You're part of my past and I'm glad.
I don't think you ever loved me at all
now it's your turn to be sad
So I'm spending Christmas without you
I don't care where you might be
I'm making plans and they don't include you
Christmas means nothing to me.

I'll find someone who adores me
Someone who'll always be true.
It won't be easy I know for a fact
I'm still addicted to you
But I'm moving on now without you
somehow I'm going to be strong
I hope you're miserable out there alone
Coz that is just where you belong.

All I am wanting for Christmas 
is for you to be nowhere around
Family and friends will be welcome to call
to share in the freedom I've found
But I hope that you keep your distance
I don't want to see you round here
Happily I will be waving good-bye

(I have a melody for this and it doubles up as a song - problem is that I can't sing and don't know what to do with it!!)
