Palpable hatred makes your nostrils seethe
As you inhale all the imagined wrongs
Grounded in ignorance
And no reality


A match is struck 

Martyrs are made
And fools are kings
Grievances run wild
Fed by even more vengeful sins

The place is ablaze

The rioting season has begun
Who will outlive
This bellicose insanity
That is but an implosion of ill-will?

The place is raised to the ground

The calm before
Did not exist
As bold they were
Who stirred the umbrage
That overruns the place
A comedy of errors
A slap in the face

The flames consume all around

History will laugh
As we now cry
With ignorant disdain
Rights become wrongs
Wrongs become rights
Troubles brew
It's a grim sight 

The charred ruins smoulder

This friction is not new
A caustic brew of simmering rage
Mixed with distrustful interaction
Society disintegrates
A cauldron full of hate

All around is covered in ash

Is this the way to build humanity?
Rising up in Don Quixote style
May relieve tensions now
As our restless energy
Is temporarily spent
What of the never fading seething discontent?

The world can be turned upside down
So easily
Thankfully not too frequently
