Poem

How long has it been I ask myself? 
But really I don’t want to know 
Yet the fear is still there, I feel it 
And I know by now it really shows 
I can taste the mind of that being  
That lives deep inside my soul 
As it guides me down, always down 
To places I should never go 
I’m living a mirrored life it seems  
That shows opposite sides of me 
And no matter how much I try and cry 
I can’t seem to wrestle free 
I’ll take it all to the grave one day 
This double life I have chose 
As a few walk me to the grave 
As winter brings on the snows 
My youth was gobbled up real fast 
An old dead man is now what you see 
That evil that lives inside 
Has finally won its victory
