Inside of me chaos has taken over.
Shambles of a life that once brought peace to me has now fallen.
Inside of me I am lost in a world called confusion.
My heart is telling me yes and my mind is telling me no.
Who am I to listen to?
My mind tells me that I should do the right thing.
How do I know what the right thing is when the heart is deceitful?
If it has to be a love that is hidden away that love is not worth having.
If it has to be a love that I cannot have in its entirety then turning my back on it I will do.
They say follow your heart but the heart can lead to a world filled with sorrow and agony.
Perhaps I will stick to following my mind where people say, “Would be the logical thing to do”.
For following my heart can lead to pain.
That is not a risk I am willing to take for loving you.
