We laugh at a joke
Cry when watching a movie
Fight over something stupid
Yell over a silly comment
Scream over and insult
Then go back to laughing at that same joke

Loving life
Hating life
Living life

The little things seeming so big
And the big things we just ignore
The TV shows we get so into
And the news 
We just change the channel

How is that we all go on normally
Thoughtless
Mindless
Acting like everything is ok

And we do this not because we are bad people
Or that we don’t care
We do this to live
To go on

We forget
We make our selves forget

And we ignore the sad commercials
We ignore The Newspaper
To flip to the cartoons
We do this like nothing
So normal

And we laugh at that joke
Cry when watching a movie
Then we see that commercial
About that little girl
Who just wants clean water
And our hearts stop
But we quickly..

Fight over something stupid
Yell over a silly comment
Scream over and insult
Then go back to laughing at that same joke

Because we have to live
So, yeah, we forget
And we ignore
So we can wake up every morning
So we don’t go crazy

What else could we do?
What else can we do?
What else…will we do?

So we move on
Forgetting, ignoring
Loving, hating
Living
