Poem
I took a bus to a destination Which HE only knows where I have to go. The bus stopped at intervals boarding up and down, Many entered and exited, full of business. Packed and unpacked, the bus had to shoulder the burden, Tickets were issued, coins exchanged, Whistles blown, verbal showers fell to the full. I sat watching the game with mind traversing. A girl stepped into the bus at an interval, Where a few miles for me to reach. She took the seat close to me. Who she was, how she was, I knew not; Yet a strange joy entered my heart. She wore simple and had no mask, She breathed breeze and had a rose with her, She never spoke much; yet sowed the seed of love in me. I translated my thoughts unto her and she dwelled in them. I offered her blossoms and she offered me her love. It was windy breeze and we were drenched in silent showers. She loved my thoughts and I loved her rose. She bathed me with her smile and I hugged her heart. I built a castle for her and she dwelled in it, I made music of her breath, And every where were her melodies, I created verses of her smile, And each smilefrom her heart hath love, Her eyes spoke utterances of her heart That silence is love, and love is silence. Forlorn! The bus stopped with a jerk, I felt a jolt within and woke up, I looked around for her, She was not near my seat, Where was she? Where would she be? The bus moved on with another jerk, I looked thro' the window, she walked away and disappeared, Tears rolled down my heart, They're the tears of my love for her And are translated to lasting verses. Where is she? What is she? How is she? Longing for the answers I proceeded.......
