i've been to the valley of terror and tears
i've been to the valley of madness and fear
i've been through the floods and i've been through the fires
i've been through the river of rage and desire
i've been to the grave...reserrected i rise
i've been to perdition on up to paradise

i've been up to Heaven and I've been down to Hell
i rose to the top and six million feet fell
i've feasted with killers and fasted with kings
i've walked with the Lord and received kingdom keys
i ran with the devil...almost to my demise
i've been to perdition on up to paradise

i once rode that slow motion serpentile train
seduced by slick spiders i felt steely stings
dumfounded by death...i went deaf,dumb,and blind
i've been to perdition on up to paradise

infected with fear and injected with hate...grinning with sin...the grim reaper awaits
his sickle is sharp and it cuts to my soul
i ran out of gas in the valley of dry bones
he hunts me and haunts me...still in God i abide
i've been to perdition on up to paradise
