“A teacher, taught our ignorance the path to civilization, respect all.” Felix. O Joseph MY TEACHER! Am a poet, true you taught me Flourishing in knowledge am like fountain Empowering me, you I climbed mountains I command, you made me captain My crudeness, your rod refined Your white chalk, brightened my ignorance Idle fingers, your instructions gave a job Enduring patience, you guided my steps Through life’s stepping stone My home laid the stones you built to a citadel Worth in much, my value you enhanced Who am I, without you? Yes! A tower alluring universal appeal Contempt as leprous, before all you seem Yet all crave of you as a need A profession, disdain will not touch In their hapless myopia, all forget you A midwife and nurturer of many a profession With peanuts, your welfare is gratified Hastening your demise A Quick trip to heaven for a reward Must your reward ultimately be celestial? Alas! So is the expectation Be told! Your heaven stars here Giving your all, civilization is celebrated Yet you are empty as castrated Unfair has never fair to you From scum, comes you gratification Your attraction, a distraction of the past Abused, muzzled, and trampled Little wonder, your strike cripples Yet, for love, you are passionate to teach An inner beauty your travails cannot extinguish What a consistent specimen to service humanity Truly, your profession is noble Teachers are not made, but are born Rare in trait, next to none Your inputs, speaks like evidence Material wealth, crumble before your worth Kings and and nations must sing to your praise Twenty one gun salute, an army parade, cant make up My teacher! We know your worth Dear teacher, we feel your pain My teacher, not long your reward will rain Brace up, and enjoy gain Your due season, always must reign You are never fake, just knowledge you bake If I rule the world, you I will take My teacher, I love you Sincerely, our love appreciates you. Author: Felix Joseph Osaeghemede (chumfin4poem@yahoo.com)+2348037825027. Written: 9:45am -11:25am,7-10-2008 This is a special dedication to teachers world wide, mostly the abused ,muzzled and trampled one’s.
