Poem
Every night, my mother used to tuck me in to go to sleep. She knew I was afraid of the dark. She told me there was nothing to be afraid of, and that if I go to sleep, a magical fairy would wake me up and take me to a magical land. So I took her word and fell asleep. Around two o'clock in the morning, the sound of thunder and lightning woke me up from a sound sleep. I looked around the room, and I did not see a magical fairy or land. Instead, I heard something coming from the foot of my bed. I could not see a thing, because my room was pitch black. It sounded like a dresser being carried across the floor. I reached over and grabbed a flashlight from my bedstand, and when I flicked the light on, there was absolutely nothing there. So, again, I attempted to go back to sleep. Again, I heard the sound at the foot of my bed. Once again, I reached over to my bedstand, but my hand knocked the flashlight off of the dresser, and killed the flashlight. I heard the noise getting louder and louder. Suddenly, there was a cold figure standing right next to me. In one strand of lightning, I could vividly see the figure. It was the old onwer of the house. He was murdered about thirty years ago because he was a child murderer. I screamed at the top of my lungs but no one could hear me. He grabbed me by the wrists and said, "Ready to go to a magical land?".
