Genghis needed to get his teeth clean
leaving Sassy alone for her first time felt extreme
gather the little guy to get him there by eight A M
Sassy with her long face staring out the window missing him
Had to drop off the old boy and get him at five
went straight home to see if Sassy survived
She was happy at first but sadness appeared
when she didn't see little Genghis anywhere
She remember when I had to take old Kublai away
he has pass and the vet would bury him that day
She really liked the jolly old fat boy Kublai a lot
so Genghis got her affections for Kublai was not
She looked at me with those big soft sad eyes
Sassy if she could would of had a good cry
she thought I took Genghis from her for good
told her he's at the vet but she misunderstood
All day she moped and was depress
no playing or eating just laying in sadness
finally it was time to get him home
She didn't respond at leaving her alone
Genghis had four teeth pulled, little guy was groggy
friend drove us home as I held my little doggie
Open the door no response till I put the little guy down
Sassy looked in disbelief her happiness profound
She whimpered whined with joy and her tail wagging
she sniff and sniff then kissed Genghis who was dragging
Genghis lay down to take a nap his ordeal made him sleepy
Sassy laid facing him tail wagging for she missed him deeply
for the next few days Genghis was never out of her sight
bringing him home ended Sassys very long day in delight.
