Troubled men chase illusive Peace
with sharpened knives and smoking guns.
They recklessly wield all manner of weapons
under the sinking, blood-red sun.
But Peace is an individual choice, 
evoked through conscious decision
That arises from deliberate and heart-felt
aversion for the ultimate collision.

At the personal level, if you are not at Peace
it means you have chosen wrongly.
Your reality rests in an instant by instant
choosing for what you feel so strongly.
When you realize you have turned from Peace
a new decision can now rebuke the sin.
It opens up a brand-new path to embrace
joy and hope by choosing Peace again.

By realizing your decision for hate and war
was made in a frozen moment in time,
It can be reversed, released and forgiven
before the Doomsday Clock can chime.
Let “I can choose Peace instead of this.” * 
be your newfound mantra for Peace.
Choose again and yet again, until the thrill
of killing and bloodshed is released.

Accept Peace as the greater choice so
young soldiers may continue to live.
Don’t sacrifice their future for the
one and only life they have to give.
Choose again for Peace, let the bells of
Liberty ring without the sacrifice of blood.
Your choice, when united with others, 
is enough to transform war into Love.
