Poem
I preach love to hearts sterilized by hatred. No joy, only trauma in these grieving souls. My dignity has never worn chains. I appreciate my life by watching all its dramas unfold. To be a free and just man is not a crime. No mask, no role to play before these clowns. I embrace the pain beneath my skin. I laugh at the vile ramblings of these treacherous minds. Their slander rekindles my divine spark. Too much blasphemy, so too many prayers to utter. The human species: a sea of contradictions. Charitable, to erase my slate before the universal force. I only believe in the power that money offers. Hypocrites sing the praises of brotherhood. I will never trust those traitors disguised as angels. Still no risk-taking. I am not suicidal, just a loner with a locked heart. I prefer to sneer at the sterile ravings of these bipolar schizophrenics. My worst enemy lives within me. Only shortcuts left to take. The paths of my fate have always been apocalyptic. I pay child support for kids raised to hate me. Only the universal force knows the end of my reality. I am a sinner trying to do good for demonic minds lit by ingratitude. Being truthful leads to loving solitude and silence. I’ve learned to hide my intelligence in ease. Life feels long since I started saving time. I’ve never sought to please human beings. I’m forced to gag and bind my demons to endure human foolishness. I’ve suffered in abundance to better savor the gifts of scarcity. I’ve never believed in love; my existence is far from glamorous. The setting is bleak and gloomy. Even with cannabis joints, the nightmares stay the same. Sleepless nights chasing fleeting vanities that showed me the plagues of carceral shock in a slave-built nation. My instincts are colonial, like the arrogance of those negrophobes. I walk straight only when all is well. When I suffer, the illicit brings delicious flavors to my tragic lifestyle. I protect my interests, even in moments of generosity.
