Flooded street I see
Not with water but people
Because of injustices, suppression of human right
Because of political persecution of some sort
People inundating the EDSA street
The former head of the state is in jeopardy
Now in force arrest without warrant of arrest
This is a national issue of persecution
Defeating democracy and freedom of privacy
Police force are being used to fend political enemies
My people now are in heart attack and in rages
The world is observing my country's happenings
How be it that my government is demonizing people
My leaders are persecuting former head of state
There are rallies taking all over major cities
Mainstream medias are silent siding government
People are receiving news only on bloggers and social medias
All eyes is on the former President who is illegally detain
Justice system has no more power to execute
Foreign power is controlling giving blessing by sitting President
Is this retribution, is this personal vendetta
These following days is more fearsome and troubling
Who would be the sovereign authority now
My people is asking justice, my people is asking why
Is this the result of controversy or vengeance
I am observing this situation by heart now.
