Poem
(Verse 1) In the quiet of the night, I hear your laughter, Echoes of a love that came and went so fast. Looking at the stars, I wonder what you’re after, While I sift through memories, shadows from the past. (Pre-Chorus) Every smile that we shared, now feels like a ghost, A flicker in the dark, of what we wanted most. (Chorus) Something in your eyes, makes me wanna lose myself, In a world where love still dances, In your arms, I can tell. But there's a truth in silence, That we both tried to ignore, Hope this feeling lasts forever, But it’s knocking at my door. (Verse 2) If you knew how lonely my life has been, Every hour drags like an old, worn-out sin. In the spaces between, I can still hear your song, But it’s a melody of sorrow, where I no longer belong. (Pre-Chorus) You were my sunbeam, now just a fading light, Searching for a reason to let go of the fight. (Chorus) Something in your voice, makes my heart beat fast, Yet every word feels heavy, as it echoes from the past. I wish you could see me, standing here alone, Trying to find the pieces of a heart that’s turned to stone. (Bridge) And I see you moving on, painting your own skies, While I’m left with shadows, and unspoken goodbyes. But deep inside my soul, there’s a flicker of hope, That one day I’ll find the strength to learn how to cope. (Chorus) Something in your eyes, makes me wanna lose myself, In the dreams we painted, put away on a shelf. If you knew how I’m holding on to what we used to be, Wishing for a moment, where you’d still come back to me. (Outro) But I’ll keep on walking, through the remnants of our days, Trying to find my way, in this endless maze. Though it feels like I’m losing, in this game of love and loss, I’ll cherish all the laughter, and accept the heavy cost.
