Poem
Do you know that you saved yours truly? Your courage stood bright, and your heart didn't find me unruly You fought for me, even though you barely knew me, A stranger’s shield, a light that defended freely In shadows where hope had dimmed and grown frail, You offered your hand through the darkest of gale With eyes filled with kindness, you dared to engage, A fierce resolve sparking from a blank page Each step you took echoed through desolation, A testament to true love’s pure dedication You rallied my spirit when darkness held sway, And lit up the pathways, dispelling my gray Your laughter rang out, a bell clear and sweet, A melody woven caused my struggle’s retreat When silence encroached, when despair filled the air, Your voice was a beacon, a direction I now swear You dismantled the walls that I’d built with my fears, transforming my burdens to rivers of dry tears Do you know that you saved yours truly? In moments when life felt so cruel and unruly You championed my cause with relentless zest, unraveling pain, you bring forth my life's best— with each brave encounter, you foster my soul, restoring my hope, making me feel whole Though storms may have roared, and shadows may fall, you stood as my fortress, my guiding call Every battle you fought was not done so in vain, you lifted me high above sorrow and endless pain In the fabric woven with threads of our fate, you stitched every moment, refusing to wait for the warmth of your heart, to spark in me a flame, resilience ignited, and forever only for you, I blossomed again Do you know that you saved yours truly? You're a guardian’s spirit that shaped us duly You painted my world with colors so bold, through each act of kindness, our story's retold Within the hugs of your selfless embrace, I found in your courage my rightful place With each passing day, I cherish your grace, for you have transformed this once-hidden space. Do you know that you saved yours truly? In gratitude deep, I’ll honor you duly Forever I’ll carry the light that you brought to me, in the dance of existence, the battles we fought duly... So here is my promise, a vow sincere, to honor your spirit with our every new year! In kindness, I'll walk, in strength, I’ll abide, with love as my armor, and you by my side! Do you know that you saved yours truly? A journey rewoven, bravely and fully!
