Poem
Today our eyes spill tears, heavy with sorrow, For two double souls lost in this cold, dreary week. Yet with the dawn, the heartache will soften by morrow, As we remember the peace your spirits now seek. Though broken our hearts, they will carry the weight, Of love intertwined—two fates now forever apart. In the stillness, you linger, though shadows await, We mourn in the silence yet rejoice in your heart. We are sad, We are happy, For the pain you endured has now slipped away, God has whispered, “It’s time; go forth, my angels,” Bringing you home in a gentle ballet. So let us remember the laughter and light, The moments we cherished, the times we embraced. In glimmers of memory, you shine ever bright, Though years may grow heavy, your love can't be displaced. Together we gather, with hands intertwined, Sharing tales of your kindness, your laughter, your grace. For though you have gone, you remain in our minds, In each story we tell, in each tear on our face. So, here's to the souls, both doubled and true, Each heartbeat, a whisper, we carry with pride. In the sky above, both vibrant and blue, Your light will forever be our cherished guide. (For both of my Cousin's J&E) updated 2023 If anyone once to read the original, it is down at the bottom. (Original Poem was written in 2022) Today our eyes are crying out of sorrow, Over the two double souls we have lost this cold dreary week. But dried by morrow for we know you both are at peace. Even though our hearts will remain broken for years to come For we are still here and need to mourn. We are sad, We are happy, That neither of you is in pain any more. For God finally said “go forth my angels it time to bring them home”. So now we will reminisce over the memories once shared For the memories of you both will never leave us. (For both of my Cousin's J&E)
