One time, it was alive inside
In my head, listening to my heart
Beating, in the silence
Melodies rich with light, softly playing
A wonderful song, abiding
Soothing away the darkness, the lonely
Erasing the shadows with soundless 
Dreams, still as grace
Broken by the whispers of his hesitant embrace…

One time, it was only my dream
His hand in mine, 
A love story being written, poetry
Non-fiction – brilliant verses, visions
Secrets spoken, bonds unbroken
Prayers prayed and sinners saved
With the lasting of a light
Who never failed, shining bright
Reflecting the music of a silent star
Remembering the beautiful
Where you are…

One time, it was a falling tear
Collected in hearts so sincere
Blessing the vows
Promises made, softly they fade
Compromising the story
Poetry and grace, so amazing
Even the stars keep praising
God woke the spirit
Sent light to destroy the dark
Restored my faith and collected
Each kiss, each caress,
All the music in the winds who say
We’re meant to be,
Two hearts, two hopes, 
Two lives, two loves,
Entwined in the flowing…

Down from the heavens,
Where stars glisten, glimmering
Stirring the moments with feeling
Hearts softly glow, compelling
The feelings who soon show
Everyone that knows…

Love’s gentle touch,
It still means so much
Remembering the dream,
While living the love
Between you and me,
Two who kept the pen filled with ink
Two who kept the wind’s breath
Two who melted the candle
At both ends, telling the world
We are forever friends,
We are forever lovers
We are forever, a story – written
By two hearts, two souls, two pens
On pages where moments
Are blessed with serenity, sincerity
