Let me see again, begged Bartimeus, son of Thimeus.
Though he could once, his life soon got into a clumsiness.
He could not see the world, which he saw once and liked so much.
He could, now, feel it only with his ambiguous touch.

Did you only give him the sight to see this pretty world?
Did you give him the insight into himself that was whirled?
Losing his sight, he had lost the values the world once gave.
Paths of faith and discipleship into his life you paved.

It's not mere mending of sight but conscience and consciousness.
With a new sight, he was reborn out of unconsciousness.
From an outcast, he became the native of the kingdom.
From ignorance he, like a seeker, moved towards wisdom.

He surrendered his fear. You led him to the path of glee.
From his dependence, you led him to a life that was free.
